Bee & Bird is a delightful picture book about a bumble
bee and a bird going on an adventure.

Personal Reaction:
|
The pictures are colorful which start out as a close up
and increasingly enlarges to show a bigger picture of where the pair is
going. Geared toward ages 1-4, the pictures encourage the reader
to use their current vocabulary and add additional vocabulary to their
memory. This reviewer has one issue with the pictures; the author/illustrator
portrays the home of the bumble bee as a honeybee hive. When
producing tales for children, the author should provide realism, as readers
of the story will believe what they see and read. Bumble bees live
in the ground, not a hive as portrayed.
