Personal Reaction:

The colorful pastel
art on canvas depicts the story of Mouse and his father having fun in the
snow admirably. The lover between the two is evident by the way Mouse
attempts each challenge and Poppa provides positive praise on Mouse’s first
attempts. This hardbound book is a wonderful example of a picture book to
read to preschoolers as the first flakes of snow start to fall.
