Personal Reaction:

Wonderfully colorful illustrations show the pair as they
share breakfast, shop, play hide and seek, make a cake and read a story as
they snuggle up together. The story is easily related to everyday life
between a mother and child. The prose are in large print and constructed with
easy to read sentences, which after several readings the young 1 to 3 year
old should be able to recognize many of the words and possibly read by
themselves. The characters are fun to look at which will encourage the young
reader to want to read other titles in the series
