In a Picture Book perfect for the Halloween season; Jasper Rabbit lives in Crackenhopper Field where the best carrots grow. Young Jasper can’t resist pulling and eating carrots every time he passes the carrot field. Eventually he begins to hear and see creepy carrots everywhere he goes. When he can no longer deal with seeing the carrots he builds a fence, digs a moat, and fills it with gators so the creepy carrots could not leave the field ever again.

Personal Reaction:
|
Loved how the creepy carrots only appeared to Jasper and when the story concludes the carrots were so happy to have tricked Jasper to build the fence so they could remain safe from Jasper. A great twist to a story about eating vegetables.
